SUBLIMATION

Sublimation printing, or sublimatic printing, is a printing technology that is based on the physical process of the sublimation of the ink, that is, the direct transition from the solid state to the gaseous state. This process requires papers properly treated superficially, called Sublimation Papers, and dedicated and specific inks.

Sublimation printing is used exclusively on synthetic polyester fiber fabrics.

Sublimation Paper is printed by inkjet plotter and then placed on the fabric. Everything is pressed hot, at a temperature that varies between 170 and 200 ºC by means of suitable presses or calenders for a certain time at a specific pressure.

During this operation the ink sublimates and transfers from the Sublimation Paper to the fabric by combining with the synthetic fiber of the same fabric permanently, resisting UV rays, scrubbing and washing.

Thanks to its resistant characteristics, sublimation printing is widely used for sportswear.

The standard sizes that are produced in our factories are mainly rolls of height 1.62 m and length 250-290 m. The company is available to evaluate requests for special customized sizes.
